For the first time since we moved to Utah, Helena and I had both Friday and Saturday off so we took the opportunity to drive up Provo Canyon to Deer Reservoir State Park to go camping with our good friends the Espinozas. The weather was beautiful until we woke up. Apparently it does rain in Utah once in a while-about as frequently as we go camping. All in all it was a lot of fun. Here are a few pictures and we hope to post again soon. -bZ-
...the falls halfway up Provo Canyon...the cables were used for a lift to the restaurant at the top until it closed due to a rockslide...or was it an avalanche? Behind Helena, the backside of Mount Timpanogus is visible. Still quite a bit of snow up there...

Hey! Lot's of fun! (It was an avalanche in the winter. The tram is the steepest in the United States--might be the world, can't remember which. Right now Utah officials are lobbying to get it back up and running.) The summer before 7th grade I used to ride my bike up there every other morning with my best friend. The tram and the little store were still running then. Weird how things change.
